Approve the Agreement with The University of North Florida Board of Trustees to Provide Project Evaluation Report for the District (Information and Technology Division)

The University of North Florida will use data provided by the Hillsborough County Public Schools to provide a project evaluation report for the District. As part of the contract with the Florida Department of Education, the University of North Florida shall provide the Florida Department of Education a program-wide meta-report covering eleven districts. The school district will provide the University of North Florida with pre and post teacher and student performance data, survey data, and information about the District's technology development, deployment, and context. The agreement is made per directions from Charles Proctor, Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Program Coordinator at the Florida Department of Education and is covered by Research Agreement #0607-06 from the University of North Florida and is attached as Attachment A.

Goal 5: The District will close the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind. Priority 3.0 (Updated/Integrated Technology) as outlined in the School District of Hillsborough County Strategic Plan 2003-2007.

The funds in the amount of $12,000 will be derived from the EETT Project.

This is an evaluation document as agreed to by the Department of Education and the University of North Florida. The Assessment and Accountability Department of SDHC will read and review all products prior to publication.
