Approval of Teacher Training Instructors for Professional Study Day, October 13, 2006.

The attached represents a listing of professional staff members in our school district who plan and conduct training programs for teachers and other staff members on Professional Study Day. These training programs represent approximately 609 hours of inservice in subject areas within Title I schools, middle schools, high schools, and exceptional student education programs. As the total number of instructors to be hired by the date of the event is not known at this time, permission is requested to add or delete instructors’ names to the attached list as needed.

The inservice activities provided on Professional Study Day address Goal 5.a.4: Provide teachers training opportunities that focus on learning strategies.

These expenditures in the amount of $11,959.28 are budgeted from Part I funds, 2006–07, for staff development in the Division of Information and Technology. Professional Study Day instructor preparation time will be paid at the rate of $24.79 per hour plus fringe.
