Approve Renewal Contract with Florida West Coast High School Soccer Officials Association, Inc. for Athletic Contests, 2006/2007 - $42,126 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

Each year the School District negotiates a contract with the Florida West Coast High School Soccer Officials Association, Inc. for the purpose of providing soccer officials for scheduled high school and middle school contests. Travel fees for officials were increased $2 per official due to increased fuel costs and two high schools and one middle school were added to this renewal contract.

Professional athletic officials ensure unbiased and fair officiating at athletic events.

The contract amount of $42,126 is included in the Division of Curriculum and Instruction Athletics Department budget. The increase of $3,061 over last year’s contract is attributed to the increase of travel fees of $2 per official due to increased fuel costs and the addition of two high schools and one middle school.
