Approve the Memorandum of Agreement Between the School District of Hillsborough County and the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) for the Full Service School Program (Student Services & Federal Programs Division)

This Memorandum of Agreement is in effect November 10, 2006, through June 29, 2007. The staff of the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) has requested permission to co-locate the East Tampa Learning Academy (academic program) and Prodigy (cultural arts program) at the Kimbell Full Service School. These after-school and evening programs will be co-located at Kimbell.

Goal 5 – The District will eliminate the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

The total funding of $8,127 will be allocated to the School District from the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) to pay a teacher to provide supervision after regular school hours.

The Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) is responsible for program evaluations in this partnership. Evaluations will be completed by CDC staff and contracted evaluators, including faculty from the University of South Florida. Program evaluation data is due to the Supervisor of School Social Work Services on July 31, 2007. This information will be shared with the Kimbell Full Service School partners and the Hillsborough County School Board in August of 2007.
