EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project is being planned by the engineering firm of Kisinger Campo and Associates. The scope of work provides for resurfacing the tracks with rubberized material at Jefferson and King High Schools and installation of a new all-weather rubberized track surface at Spoto High School. The Board previously approved an interlocal agreement with Hillsborough County providing for payment of $210,000 by the County for the resurfacing, in exchange for limited use by the County for athletic events (previous Board agenda provided as Attachment A). The District previously installed a similar surface at Gaither High School.
The project was advertised, and seven contractors attended the pre-bid meeting. However, only All American Tracks Corporation submitted a bid (Attachment B). Following value engineering discussions with All American Tracks Corporation, their bid was revised to an amount comparable to the cost of the Gaither project, and acceptance of the revised bid is therefore recommended (Attachment C).
The project starting date will be November 1, 2006, with a projected completion date of January 30, 2007.
