SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On April 4, 2006, the Board approved the appointment of Woodroffe Corporation Architects for architectural services. The scope of work includes increasing the size of the Administration Area, Media Center, Dining and Kitchen to accommodate the increase in student population at the school. The fire alarm, intercom, telephone and electrical systems will be upgraded as part of the renovation. Plumbing fixtures and door hardware will be replaced to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The facility will be painted and new flooring installed. The drainage system in the courtyards will be improved to eliminate flooding.
Approval of the design development phase will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents. Project completion is scheduled for December 2007.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The project is currently funded at $5,200,000. The estimate of probable cost is $5,126,109. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax (CIT 06) and 2 Mill.
