Proposals for construction management services were accepted on November 10, 2006. A Public Announcement was issued and a tabulation made of the firms that responded to the legal advertisement. The Professional Services Selection Committee convened the week of November 27 to review submittals and develop a short-list. Prospective providers were evaluated in accordance with the "Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act," "State Requirements for Education Facilities," and School Board policy. The Committee authorized the staff to proceed with fee negotiations with the top-ranked firms. Negotiations are now complete and Board approval is required for formal appointment.

A recommendation is made to approve the following appointments: (See Attachment F)

The listed fees are established in proportion to the stated construction budgets and identified scopes of work. Subsequent revisions of either the construction budgets or scopes of work may warrant proportionate adjustments of the fees.

Project budgets are as follows: $3,200,000 for Bellamy, $4,300,000 for Cork, $5,000,000 for Crestwood, $3,300,000 for Kingswood, $3,500,000 for Lake Magdalene, $3,500,000 for Orange Grove, $3,400,000 for Ruskin, $2,900,000 for Springhead, and $3,300,000 for Wimauma. These items are included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax (CIT 06) for Bellamy, Cork, Crestwood, Kingswood, Lake Magdalene, and Springhead, 2 Mill for Orange Grove, Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO 03-04/05-06) Construction for Ruskin, and Qualified Zone Academy Bonds (QZABs 05) and PECO Construction 05-06 for Wimauma.
