Approve License and Hold Harmless Agreement for Polling Place with City of Tampa for Use of Facilities for City of Tampa Elections, March 2007 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The License and Hold Harmless Agreement for Polling Place with the City of Tampa provides polling precincts for the City of Tampa Municipal Election on March 6, 2007, and the City of Tampa Run-Off Election, if needed, on March 27, 2007. Three school sites have been requested: Coleman and Monroe Middle Schools and Middleton High School. The schools will be available for equipment setup as needed and agreed upon by the City and the school administrator and on the election dates from 6:00 a.m. until the election activities are concluded.

The School Board has cooperated in the past by allowing use of school sites for polling places. The election activities at school sites provide civic duty awareness learning experiences for students.
