Approve Modification #2 to Training Vendor Agreement Contract #655 with Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance, Inc. for 2006/2007 (Adult Technical Education)

The 2006/2007 Training Vendor Agreement #655 with Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance, Inc. was approved by the School Board on August 8, 2006. Modification #1 was approved on October 10, 2006, to include payment for mandatory drug testing for specific Health Science students.

Modification #2 revises Exhibit B of the contract, Training Programs and Estimated Costs 2006/2007 to add Patient Care Assistant, $563.91; and a new cost for Patient Care Technician, $1,365.91.

Attached is revised Exhibit B, Training Programs and Estimated Costs 2006/2007. This educational partnership with Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance, Inc. allows adults to access technical, career, and adult education programs funded by federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds at Aparicio-Levy, Brewster, Erwin, and Learey Technical Centers; Tampa Bay Technical Evening Center; and Adult and Community Education Centers throughout the county. WIA funds flow through the Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance, Inc. to provide vouchers for tuition, books, fees, uniforms, and related supportive services.
