Approve Standard Hall License Contract with the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Inc. for Use of Carol Morsani Hall for the Elementary Fine Arts Festival on May 8, 2007 - $8,764 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

A Standard Hall License Contract has been developed with the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Inc. for the Elementary Fine Arts Festival scheduled to be held on May 8, 2007, in Carol Morsani Hall. The contract covers the costs associated with the rental of the hall, licenses for performing the selected music, ticket sales, production equipment, and crew associated with the event.

This annual event will involve over 700 student musicians and 400 student artists with an estimated audience of 2,200.

Goal 5 - The district will close the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points.

Funds to cover the costs of the contract are included in the divisional general operating budget for Curriculum and Instruction ($5,900) and from ticket sales ($2,864) for the total contract cost of $8,764. The funds cover the rental cost of the hall, licenses for performing the music, ticket sales, production crew, and equipment.
