EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project was planned by the architectural firm of Wilder Architecture, Inc. On July 11, 2006, the Board awarded the contract to the low bidder, Greater Bay Construction Co., Inc. The scope of work provides for remodel of existing Gymnasium and renovation of a single story wing used for ROTC and classrooms.

Change Order No. 3 provides temporary fencing, data cabling, asbestos removal, manhole modifications, opening for door at south side of Gymnasium for under bleacher access, and replacement of deleted Arms Room masonry wall from scope with metal framing and plywood with drywall. Credits provided for scope deletions include removal of entry masonry wall, finish on south wall of Room 150B, two windows at east end of Gymnasium, wood blocking in acoustical deck, operable wall (replaced with standard gypsum wall board partition), and chase wall at Gymnasium group toilets (replaced with furring of existing masonry wall). A credit is included for correction of an error in Change Order No. 1 regarding the construction manager's overhead and profit. Change Order No. 4 provides for General Conditions and a time extension resulting from concealed and unknown conditions discovered during demolition.
