District staff and Hillsborough County Library System staff have been working to implement the expansion of the media center at Sulphur Springs Elementary School for use as a joint facility. The County and Board agree to jointly plan, design, construct, furnish and equip the expanded media facility and public library. The County will provide $770,000 in funding for the expansion project and the District will construct the addition according to the terms of the Florida Building Code and the provisions of Chapter 1013, Florida Statutes.

Access to the library facility during regular school hours shall be devoted exclusively for use by Sulphur Springs Elementary as the school media center. Non-school community shall have no access during regular school hours, except as authorized by the Board for specific events. After regular school hours, the entire facility will be primarily devoted to use by the general public. Board and County employees shall be subject to their respective personnel policies and procedures.

This Interlocal Agreement has been reviewed by the School Board Attorney as to form and sufficiency.
