ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On June 7, 2005, the Board appointed Carruthers & Associates Architects P.A. and Greater Bay Construction Co., Inc. to provide design and construction management services. This new facility opened in August 2006 and relieved overcrowding at Apollo Beach, Corr, and Sessums Elementary Schools.

This change order provides for sanding and rolling of Bahia sod installed on the playfields. The original contract documents called for Bahia seed, but the Construction Manager substituted sod at no additional charge. The change was made due to the ongoing heavy rains and the potential for seed to be washed away. This change order also provides for painting of the metal letters on the school sign. The letters were originally specified and delivered to be installed on a painted stucco surface. After the letters were purchased, the developer provided funds for an upgrade stone veneer sign. The letters need to be painted so that they contrast with the stone background.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
