APPROVAL OF DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASES

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

These projects are being planned by the architectural firm of Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. On June 7, 2005, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Batson-Cook Company, Inc. As of the current boundaries, relief will be provided for Collins, Cypress Creek, Summerfield and Wimauma Elementary Schools and Randall and Rodgers Middle Schools.

Approval of the design development phases will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents. Project completion is scheduled for the 2008-09 school year.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Construction budget for Elementary School "L" is $12,092,778. The estimate of probable cost is $11,313,061. Construction budget for Middle School "SS" is $20,419,009. The estimate of probable cost is $19,582,575. These items are included in the District Capital Outlay: Certificates of Participation Series 04C and Impact Fees (Elementary School "L") and Certificates of Participation Series 06A/07 (Middle School "SS").
