Approve Renewal Collaborative Partnership Agreements with Community-based and Faith-based Agencies, 2007/2008 – Total: $316,898(Adult and Community Education)

The Adult and Community Education Department has requested School Board approval to submit five grant proposals to the Florida Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education. Supplemental funding provided by these grants for local Adult Education and Family Literacy programs will incorporate the implementation of the following four renewal collaborative agreements to provide services to the targeted populations. Approval of these partnership agreements is requested:

• SERVE-Volunteers in Education - $9,000
• Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg - $3,600
• Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Detention Department - $5,000
• Hillsborough Community College- $299,298

All District Goals and Critical Success Factors

Grant funds of $316,898 are included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget. All direct and indirect costs are included in grant funds.

October 31, 2008. Evaluation measures required by the grant are determined by the Florida Department of Education. The annual state performance report will be completed in October 2008 and shared with all stakeholders.
