APPOINTMENT OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Proposals for construction management services were accepted on April 27, 2007. A Public Announcement was issued and a tabulation made of the firms that responded to the legal advertisement. The Professional Services Selection Committee convened the week of April 30 to review submittals and develop a short-list. Prospective providers were evaluated in accordance with the "Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act," "State Requirements for Education Facilities," and School Board policy. On May 2, the Committee reviewed the short-listed applicants using a rubric and authorized staff to proceed with fee negotiations with the top-ranked firm. Negotiations are now complete and Board approval is required for formal appointment of the following firm:

  • The Morganti Group, Inc. for a fixed fee of $200,700.
