BARTELS MIDDLE SCHOOL
LIVE OAK SPORTS COMPLEX FACILITY
ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project was planned by the firm of Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. On November 18, 2003, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Hardin Construction Company to supervise construction of the school facility. Bartels Middle School opened in August 2006 and relieved overcrowding at Benito and Liberty Middle Schools. The Live Oak Sports Complex was not included in the original scope pending the development of an interlocal agreement. An interlocal agreement was approved by the Board on October 25, 2005. The construction of this new facility was based on construction documents prepared by the Woodroffe Corporation, architects under contract with the Board of County Commissioners.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
