EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On May 20, 2004, the School Board approved the initial agreement with Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Center for Plant City High School and Marshall and Tomlin Middle Schools. We are requesting approval of the renewal implementation agreement with AVID to continue the program and include 20 schools—new and existing— for the 2007/2008 school year. The agreement outlines member roles, materials, training, and fees associated with the AVID Center. These schools were chosen due to the potential number of first-generation college graduates and their feeder middle schools. A summary of the program is attached.
