Approve the End-of-Course Clearinghouse State Grant Funded Travel Contract - Retroactive (Information and Technology Division)

The End-of-Course Clearinghouse project requires that an advisory committee meeting be held. The Department of Education and the Hillsborough County Public Schools decide who will be on the committee and the Department of Assessment and Accountability notifies each member of the committee as to the time and place. Travel expenses are paid from Clearinghouse Project funds. The attached two contracts for travel are retroactive contracts. Approximately five more will be submitted over the next month. The reason they are retroactive is that every person who attended the meeting had to complete the required paperwork to become a vendor before a contract could be written and reimbursement could be made. This has caused a delay that has resulted in bring these contracts to the Board retroactively.

Goals 1-4 are applicable to this project and the Critical Success Factors that apply are those related to developing and administering assessments, monitoring student achievement, and use of data for the basis of instructional decisions (1.c, 1.d, 2.c, 3.d, 4.e).

Total travel for these two contracts is $859.40. The total for each of the contracts to follow should not exceed $500.00. Funds are provided in the Clearinghouse project specifically for out-of-county travel.

The committee meeting is part of the overall End-of-Course Clearinghouse project.
