Approve Television License Agreement with Bright House Networks, dba Catch 47 to Televise Athletic Contests, 2007-2010 (Athletics Department)

We request approval of the Television License Agreement with Bright House Networks dba Catch 47 – Tampa Bay Sports Television to telecast on a live or tape delayed basis a minimum of ten regular season boys and girls athletic contests in each year of the term (2007/2008, 2008/2009, and 2009/2010 school years). The initial telecast will occur within 24 hours of the game’s conclusion and will be shown a minimum of two times.

Catch 47 will pay the district broadcast rights fees to be split between both schools participating in play. Rights fees are as follows: 2007/2008 school year - $300 per contest; 2008/2009 school year - $350 per contest; and 2009/2010 school year - $400 per contest.

Catch 47 will also provide proof of insurance, naming SDHC as an additional insured. This contract has been reviewed and approved by the School Board Attorney.
