Approve Agreement for Technical Services for Dr. Jordan Walker, Resource for Professionals (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Dr. Jordan Walker will visit all of the Title I Focus Schools to observe, mentor, coach, and provide comprehensive written and oral feedback to each of the schools in the areas of classroom and school wide behavior management. Follow-up throughout the school year will support not only the implementation of effective strategies, but also the consistent maintenance of these strategies.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Goal 5 - The District will eliminate FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The amount of $67,200 will be funded from Title I funds.
EVALUATION
After Dr. Jordan Walker’s service is completed, a comprehensive survey will be done for all Title I Focus Schools to determine if the training delivered caused a reduction in behavior incidents. A report of the results will be provided to the division of Student Services and Federal Programs. This information will be used to assist the District when considering future contracts.
