EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
School District staff has been informed of the availability to purchase the Temple Heights Christian School and Church located at 8406 North 46th Street, Tampa, Florida. Temple Heights Christian School opened as a kindergarten through sixth grade facility in 1958 and was converted to a K-12 school in 1966.
Facilities Division intends to bring the facility in compliance with the Florida Building Code and Fire Code and open the school in August 2008 with an enrollment of between 500 to 600 students. This site would relieve Pizzo, Witter, and Shaw Elementary Schools. The contract is attached but not signed by the seller. Approval of minor non-material changes to the contract that do not affect the purchase price is delegated to the Board Chair and Superintendent.
This facility was appraised at $7,000,000 and $7,875,000 for an average of $7,437,500 and the purchase price has been negotiated at $4,000,000 with a closing date of October 30, 2007. (Revised Contract Attached)
