SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Adoption of Recommended Titles as Flexibility Instructional Materials for Use in the District's Secondary Language Arts Program (Secondary Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The process for selection of flexibility instructional materials for the District’s Secondary Language Arts Program has been completed. The textbook committee studied and recommended instructional materials according to district guidelines. The recommended titles are shown on the attached memorandum from Pat Bishop, former Supervisor of Secondary Language Arts.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Goal 1 - The percentage of students scoring at Level 3 or higher on FCAT reading will increase a
minimum of 5 percentage points.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
These items may be purchased using categorical textbook funds included in the general fund/divisional budget for Curriculum and Instruction.
