Staff has identified a potential middle school site located on VanDyke Road, north of the Veterans Expressway in Lutz. The site is comprised of five individual parcels totaling approximately 20 +/- acres. This site will provide relief to Davidsen, Farnell and Martinez Middle Schools.

The Interlocal Agreement for Public Educational Facility Siting, Section 8.1, requires the school board to conduct a neighborhood meeting with the general area of the proposed education facility prior to a final determination of consistency with the County Comprehensive Plan.

The identified site is located in Northwest Hillsborough County and is within the Urban Service Area of the County.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8: Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

Appraisal fees in an amount not to exceed $15,000 will be derived from 2 Mill Capital Outlay budget for site acquisition.
