This project is being planned by the architectural firm of Rowe Architects, Inc. On November 9, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Creative Contractors, Inc. The scope of work provides for new finishes throughout the facility, new roof at all the buildings with the exception of the Media Center, new covered walkways and fire alarm, intercom, telephone, data, security, HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems. It also provides for the removal of existing suspended classroom ceilings, replacement of windows in the cafeteria, and ADA accessibility at classroom entrances and toilets.

Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facility. Project completion is scheduled for July 25, 2006.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

Construction cost is warranted at $2,437,528. The construction budget is $1,864,185 with the addition of $468,000 for HVAC renovations and $30,000 for telephone work for a total of $2,362,185. Funding is being derived from the following sources: $1,864,185 from Community Investment Tax, and $468,000 (HVAC renovations) and $30,000 (telephone work) from 2 Mill.
