Approve the Memorandum of Understanding Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida Out of School Time Program (HOST) and Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc. (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

HOST has partnered with the Seniors in Service Program since the early 1990’s. This collaboration continues to be a rewarding and successful program that provides the opportunity for the elderly community to remain independent while volunteering with the students in the after-school setting at Clair Mel, Lomax, Lowry, and Palm River Elementary Schools. The purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to establish an agreement between HOST and Seniors in Service concerning their respective roles and responsibilities for the successful implementation and operation of the program. This program will be in effect February 24, 2010 through June 30, 2010.

The Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc. will invoice the HOST program monthly, based on the number of volunteers at the rate of $3.15 per hour, per volunteer, at four (4) elementary schools.

Annual evaluations will be conducted by the HOST Administrative Team.
