2010 Extended School Year Program (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Extended School Year Program (June through August) is designed to provide both academic (for students needing additional instructional time) and enrichment programs for students. Teachers, principals, assistant principals, and district staff have contributed to the development of the plan for 2010. The Extended School Year Program supports the District Student Progression Plan by addressing options available to students and optimizes the use of Supplemental Academic Instruction (SAI) funds, Title I and Title III funds, fee-based programs, community partnerships, and grant programs.

The attached Extended School Year program handbook is used as a resource to organize and communicate with all stakeholders, including parents.
