SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On December 9, 2008, the Board appointed Wilder Architecture, Inc. and Allstate Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities will include campus-wide replacement of the fire alarm, intercom, security, closed-circuit television (CCTV) and telephone systems; new interior lighting and ceilings throughout; replacement of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system; accessibility upgrades to restrooms; enhanced fire protection for the auditorium and cafeteria; and a new serving line and faculty servery. Exterior improvements include a new bus drop-off canopy, perimeter fence replacement, and site drainage corrections. Project completion is scheduled for August 2010.
Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $4,289,304. The construction budget is $4,300,000. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Capital Outlay and Debt Service (CO & DS) $3,420,000 and Local Millage $880,000.
