Approve Change Order No. 4 in the Credit Amount of $224,565.24 and Acceptance of Project for Classrooms for Kids Addition at
Sessums Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On May 20, 2008, the Board appointed the architectural firm of Woodroffe Corporation Architects to provide design services. On July 15, 2008, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Batson-Cook Company. The scope of work provided for an additional 16 classrooms. This addition was necessary to meet class size reduction requirements.

This change order provides a credit for project savings and the return of unused contingency funds.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
