Approve Agreements for Technical Services for Online and Face-to-Face Course Training (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of the attached list of Agreements for Technical Services for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) online and face-to-face course training. This training is required to satisfy ESOL Consent Decree requirements inclusive of teacher certification which impacts Full Time Equivalency (FTE) weighted funding. A sample Agreement for Technical Services is also attached.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Contracted services will be funded by Programs for English Language Learners, Part 1 funds, in the amount of $70,835.
EVALUATION
The online staff development courses for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) will be reviewed in August 2010 to determine if teachers have successfully completed state professional development requirements.
