Approve Renewal Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Health/Hillsborough County Health Department (DOH/HCHD) for Comprehensive Grant Dollars (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This multi-year Memorandum of Agreement is in effect July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. This
agreement provides the School Board with thirteen (13) registered nurses to work in schools under direct supervision of the administrator of School Health Services in accordance with the State of Florida Best Practices Guidelines. The administrator will be responsible for hiring and evaluating the nurses hired under this program. These registered nurses are paid by the DOH/HCHD and by their department’s salary and fringe schedules. This funding is used for salaries, fringes, travel, and training for thirteen (13) school nurses. This renewal has been in effect for over five years.

$596,501 – Federal Title XXI dollars are provided by the DOH/HCHD.
EVALUATION
The annual report and plan are submitted to the DOH/HCHD in September. Data is collected from monthly reports submitted by school nurses.
