Recognition of the Teacher Academy Student Teacher of the Year and Teacher Academy Student Teachers of the Year Finalists (Magnet Schools - Curriculum and Instruction)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Urban Teaching Academy (UTA) is a magnet program at Blake, Middleton, and Hillsborough high schools for students aspiring to become educators. UTA programs attempt to model best practices in our schools for students who plan to become teachers. In conjunction with the annual Teacher of the Year event, UTA students select a Teacher Academy Student Teacher to represent each of the magnet high schools' UTA programs. In addition, a district level teacher is selected from these finalists.
