Recognition of the Brandon High School 1st Place Academy of Finance Team in the Citi JA (Junior Achievement) Banks in Action Tampa Bay Competition, 2009/2010 (Career and Technical Education–Curriculum and Instruction)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Citi JA Banks in Action Tampa Bay teaches high school students the principles of banking and introduces them to the challenges of successfully operating a bank in a competitive environment through hands-on classroom activities and local, regional, and national competitions.

We would like to recognize the Brandon High School 1st Place Academy of Finance team in the Citi JA Banks in Action Tampa Bay competition which was held at the St. Petersburg Marriott on April 7, 2010. The members of this winning team include Michael Calzadilla, Quentin Knowles, and Mark Soule. As the winning team, each student received a share of the $1000 1st Place prize awarded at the conclusion of the competition.

Mr. Thomas Reghanti, Brandon High School’s Academy of Finance lead teacher, was instrumental in providing this leadership opportunity for these students.
