SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve the Administrative Appointment for Recruitment Supervisor - Human Resources Division.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This is a new position made available through the Empowering Effective Teachers grant, effective May 10, 2010.

* Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce, * Align the performance management system with the district’s priorities, * Provide for a district-wide succession planning structure and visible career ladder

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Twenty-five percent of the recruitment supervisor's salary will be paid from the Empowering Effective Teachers grant and seventy-five percent will be paid from Part I Budget, which is currently budgeted for the supervisor of the Application Center -- the duties will be fulfilled by the "new" recruitment supervisor for the remainder of the 2009-10 school year.
