Approve Acceptance of Project for Partnership Library at
Sulphur Springs Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On April 21, 2008, the Board approved an interlocal agreement with Hillsborough County for the expansion of the existing library at Sulphur Springs Elementary School. The agreement specified the County and the District would jointly design, operate, and maintain the facility, with construction accomplished by the District. At completion, the District owned the 3,300 to 3,500 square foot expanded facility, with a joint right of use between both parties.

District staff selected The Architectural Practice, Inc. and W.G. Mills, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services.

The architect advises that the referenced project is substantially complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
