Renew Existing Bid Submitted by Parlant Technology - Request for Proposal (RFP) 8053-DST Notification System for Parents and District Employees for the Term Beginning July 30, 2008, and ending July 29, 2013 (Business Division).

On July 29, 2008, the Procurement Department, in conjunction with the Office of Communications, issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Notification System for Parents and District Employees. The effective date for this award was July 30, 2008, for a five-year term, negotiable yearly.

The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications.

Funds of $265,029 for 2010/2011, are available in Project 5377 in the Office of Communications budget for the purchase of the notification system for parents and district employees.

Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
