Approve Agreement for Donation of Fire Line Water Facilities to the City of Tampa at Ferrell Middle School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As part of campus modifications at Ferrell Middle School, the School Board was required to install fire line water facilities including a Fire Department connection, a backflow preventer and related piping, in the City of Tampa's service area to service a new fire sprinkler system for the school. This Agreement requires the School Board to donate these facilities to the City. The City will assume ownership, maintenance, and operation and the School Board will guarantee the facilities against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of thirteen months.

The City of Tampa has provided the attached Agreement which specifically states no changes to the Agreement can be made.

The approval of the Agreement to donate the Fire Line Water Facilities to the City of Tampa will have no financial impact to the School Board.
