EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
These items from Recorded Books, LLC are considered the sole source items and are exempt from the bidding process per Florida Department of Education Rule #6A1.012 purchasing polices.
“Take 10 Reading” provides a nine-step model based on expert educational research on the FCIM process and the gradual release instructional delivery methodology. “Take 10 Reading” is a powerful addition to the district middle and high school reading curriculum. Twenty-seven high schools and forty-six middle schools will use the “Take 10 Reading” program in all reading classes.
The Materials and Licenses include the following: (1) Teacher guides and Licensing to reproduce student workbooks for four levels of FCIM materials to serve grades 6-12 reading courses. (2) Licensing for on-line support providing additional assessments, graphic organizers, and passages. (3) Access to on-line teacher support site. (4) Professional development in the delivery of the gradual release and FCIM lesson formats.ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
