Approve the Amended 2010/2011 Student Calendar
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Revise the 2010/2011 Student Calendar to reflect the tentative agreement with The Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association (CTA) in regard to a decrease in the number of student days from 181 to 180 days for the 2010/2011 school year. The last student day will be Friday, June 10, 2011. Additionally, there will be a districtwide closure during the week of November 22, 2010, to November 26, 2010. An additional non-student day has been added on March 18, 2011. Revisions reflect reinstating student days for October 29, 2010, and February 21, 2011. Adjustments were made to the end of the first and third grading periods to help balance the number of days in each grading period. May 25, 2011, and June 8, 2011, early release days, are now regular school days. Variations to this calendar may occur in the future as mandated by statutory requirements.
