Recognition of Mann Middle School, Tomlin Middle School, Durant High School, Lennard High School, Plant City High School, Riverview High School and Strawberry Crest High School as Florida FFA State Team Champions; Individual FFA Awards (Career and Technical Education-Curriculum and Instruction Division)

FFA is the Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) associated with Agriscience courses in Hillsborough County. The mission of this student organization is to promote within youth premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. The benefits to our students participating in these CTSO competitions include: problem solving capabilities, improved mathematics, reading and science skills, and advanced instruction in real world applications utilizing interdisciplinary integration and teaming.

The CTSO competitions provide FFA members with industry instruction, hands-on knowledge and application of job skills within the agriculture community. Students in CTSO organizations are afforded the opportunity to take on new academic challenges, often including taking high school credit courses in the eighth grade as well as participating in competitions within Career and Technical Education.
