Renew the Existing Bid With DeConna Ice Cream – Invitation to Bid (ITB) #9116-DST Frozen Low-Fat Treats (Business Division)

This bid was prepared at the request of the Student Nutrition Services Department to establish fixed pricing for frozen low-fat treats and was approved by the Board on October 6, 2009. This ITB may be renewed in four one-year increments subject to negotiations. The awarded vendor has agreed to renew for one year with no changes to the existing terms and conditions. This recommendation has been reviewed by the General Manager of Student Nutrition Services. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications.

Funds of $370,000 will be held in the Student Nutrition Services budget for the purchase of frozen low-fat treats.

Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
