SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Award of Contract for Wastewater Connection at
Trapnell Elementary School, Turkey Creek Middle School and Robinson Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On October 20, 2009, the Board appointed Key Engineering Associates, Inc. to provide design services. The scope of work provides for abandonment of the on-site sewage treatment plant at Trapnell Elementary School and shared plant at Turkey Creek Middle School and Robinson Elementary School and connection of these sites to the public wastewater system.

This project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). Award of the contract to the low bidder, Spectrum Underground, Inc., is recommended.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Total funds in the amount of $608,614 are included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Maintenance. The contract amount being awarded is $608,614.
