Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $47,750.00 and Change Order No. 2 in the Amount of $12,041.65 Extra for HVAC Modification at
Monroe Middle School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project was planned by the engineering firm of ASR Engineering, Inc. On April 24, 2007, the Board awarded the contract to the low bidder, Serge's Air Conditioning, Inc. The scope of work provides for modification of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in Buildings 6 and 7.

Change Order No. 1 provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District. Change Order No. 2 provides installation of a handrail for the roof hatch and extension of roof structure to raise the curb to 18" above the roof, as required by the Florida Building Code.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
