SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Change Order No. 4 in the Credit Amount of $27,004.70 for Site Work at
Deer Park Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On January 17, 2006, the Board appointed The Architectural Practice, Inc. and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for Deer Park Elementary School. This new facility reuses the Collins Elementary School design. As of the current boundaries, this school relieves Bryant Elementary School.

On February 13, 2007, the Board approved the guaranteed maximum price for site work associated with the new school. The site work project includes onsite and offsite utilities, paving, and earthwork required for the construction of the school.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
