Roosevelt Elementary School, Classrooms for Kids Package 3

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Long and Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and R.J. Bunbury Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Crestwood, Egypt Lake, Mendenhall and Roosevelt Elementary Schools. Roosevelt Elementary School was separated as a project due to budget and cost issues related to the City of Tampa Architectural Review Committee's requirements. After addressing these issues, the construction schedule was reestablished and the Guaranteed Maximum Price was set and approved by the Board on July 11, 2006. The scope of work provides for the addition of 8 primary classrooms and replacement of the fire alarm and intercom systems throughout the existing facility.

Change Order No. 4 provides for 12" tall tackboard headers in every classroom. Change Order No. 5 provides the electrical work necessary for future radon ventilation fans.
