Annual Employee Benefits Open Enrollment for 2008.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Annual Employee Benefits Open Enrollment for 2008 continues through Monday, October 15, 2007. The 2008 InfoQuick Guides have been distributed, enrollment counselors have begun meeting with our employees, and a 2008 Open Enrollment video summarizing the District’s benefits has been posted on the District’s website. Each benefits-eligible employee may choose one of four methods for electing benefits: This year, Humana has enhanced the CoverageFirst Plan for HCPS employees: 1) lowest premiums of the medical plans offered (except for the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and 2) no in-network coinsurance. This means that employees pay only copays and, if applicable, the deductible for in-network charges. Employees are encouraged to read all the materials regarding CoverageFirst, as changing from their current plans to CoverageFirst could provide considerable savings. The materials and meetings listed above are provided to help employees elect the benefits most suited to their circumstances.
