Recognition of the Members of the Choice Advisory Committee

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In 2003-2004 the district’s Bi-Racial Advisory Committee was reconstituted as the Choice Advisory Committee to serve in an advisory capacity to the School Board relevant to the implementation of the School Choice Plan.

The Choice Advisory Committee operates as a vehicle through which parents and community members have input in the School Choice Plan.

The committee consists of a chairperson and 14 members who represent our diverse community. Members are appointed by their organization: seven from the District, four from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and four from the Hispanic Council.
