EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On November 9, 2006, the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and W.G. Mills, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The scope of work provides for the following additions: 16 classrooms at Hunter's Green Elementary School and 16 classrooms at Walden Lake Elementary School. These additions are necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. Completion of each project is scheduled for August 4, 2008.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for each facility.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost for Hunter's Green Elementary School is warranted at $2,588,619, which includes $166,907 for extraordinary conditions (pavement demolition and replacement, building modifications to convert two workrooms, remove and relocate existing 4" potable water supply to existing campus, two extra masonry walls with foundations, elevator, stairs). The construction budget is $2,588,619. Construction cost for Walden Lake Elementary School is warranted at $2,436,408, which includes $22,388 for extraordinary conditions (utility relocations). The construction budget is $2,463,000. These items are included in District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids.
