EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On November 9, 2006, the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and Vogel Bros. Building Co. to provide design and construction management services. The scope of work provides for the following additions: 10 classrooms at Buckhorn Elementary School and 16 classrooms at Mintz Elementary School. These additions are necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. Completion of each project is scheduled for August 4, 2008.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for each facility.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost for the addition at Buckhorn Elementary School is warranted at $1,577,793, which includes $38,000 for extraordinary conditions (100 linear feet of covered canopy and sidewalk). The construction budget is $1,577,793. Construction cost for the addition at Mintz Elementary School is warranted at $2,377,929, which includes $49,200 for extraordinary conditions (utility and court relocations, elevated walkway to existing building). The construction budget is $2,463,000. These items are included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids.
