EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On July 17, 2007, the School Board approved the Workforce Education Fee Schedule for Adult Student Tuition and Financial Aid for Postsecondary Technical and Adult Education Programs for the 2007/2008 school year, with no increase over 2006/2007. During the 2007 Special Session C, the Florida Legislature mandated a 5 percent increase in the base student tuition rate (Senate Bill 8-C) effective January 1, 2008.
The updated fee structure provides the best possible adult general education and high-skill, high-wage occupational training in the most cost-effective delivery of services. It has been the philosophy of the District to keep tuition and fees for our students at the lowest amount possible, while maintaining the highest quality programs. The recommended student rate per hour is based on state required fees, student intent, and student residency status.
